Child Care

Child Care payment assistance is available for low-income employed parents. A co-payment may be required.

Children First

Children First provides employment services for non-custodial, non-supporting parents who are referred by Circuit Court.

Food Share

Food Share supplements the food budget for low-income households. The Food Share Employment and Training (FSET) program requires that employable individuals must participate in work or work-related activities 27 hours per week in order to receive Food Share. FSET participants may be eligible for short-term training, case management and support services.

Medical Assistance

Medical Assistance, including Medicaid, Healthy Start and BadgerCare provides medical coverage to low-income families with children, pregnant women and elderly and disabled individuals. A co-payment or premium may be required for some types of Medicaid. Family Planning Waiver provides reproductive health care services to women between ages 15-44.

Refugee Assistance Program

Refugee Assistance Program is a work-based program which provides cash benefits for the first eight months after a refugee enters the United States.

Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP)

Moved October 2nd to 4319 Expo Drive, Manitowoc. Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program provides assistance with fuel and utility expenses for low-income households. The program also provides weatherization and furnace repair for energy-inefficient homes. Crisis payments and proactive case management services are available for individuals whose heat or utilities are being disconnected by the vendor. The 2017-2018 Energy Assistance season runs from October 1, 2017, to May 15, 2018. To schedule an appointment, please call 920-683-4300.
